The School offers undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programmes in business and management and provides a platform for research, discussion and debate on a wide range of business issues.


The Business School is located in the central University of Edinburgh campus in the heart of the city. It is just a 10-15 minute walk from Princes Street and Waverley Railway Station and only 5 minutes from the Royal Mile and the historic Old Town.

The nearest public car park is at Quartermile, managed by Q-Park. The car park is accessed via Simpson Loan and is signposted from Lauriston Place. Alternatively, on-street parking is available just outside the Business School.


Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s busiest airport, and is situated 8 miles from the city centre. More than 40 airlines serve over 100 destinations and 10 million passengers travelled through the airport in 2014.

Airport taxi: From the airport, it will take approximately 30 minutes to transfer to the city centre (depending on the time of day). The cost is approximately £20.

Airport Bus: The Airlink 100 express and the N22 night buses reach Waverley Bridge (near Princess Street) in approximately 30 minutes. They depart every 10 minutes. An adult single fare is £4.50 and a return fare is £7.50.

Edinburgh Trams: Trams offer a frequent and reliable service linking the airport and the city centre (every 8-12 minutes). Average journey time from the airport to the city centre is 35 minutes. An adult single fare is £5 and a return fare is £8.


Edinburgh Waverley railway station, often simply referred to as Waverley, is the main railway station in the Scottish capital Edinburgh.

Local buses

Buses from Princes Street to the Business School (nos. 3, 30, 31, 33, 37) are frequent. Single tickets on buses are £1.50 and a day ticket is £4.00. You should have the exact money as they do not provide change.
